Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Cold.

Another bright day with bitterly cold north-westerly winds. The gig club cancelled today's taster sessions as the winds were too strong to risk taking out the gigs with only four rowers plus two beginners. Instead Peter went and got more names on his sponsorship form for a row-athon the gig club are doing next weekend. Half the money raised will be for the Children's Hospice and the other half for the gig club. So far he's got three pages of sponsors.
I looked out of the window this morning to see that our ignorant neighbour (not right next door) was too lazy to find a parking space for one of his 5 vehicles and had simply driven over the grass. Grrrrr.
Today's main task was to sand down all the bits of filled wall, move & cover the furniture and get the first coat of paint on the sitting room walls. It looks bad at the moment but from here on things only get better. I've left the corner behind the TV to do separately as there's already enough furniture in the middle of the room. I also fitted in two more pressure washing sessions before and after painting.

 Sunset.
