Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Off To Bristol.

The sun is here today. Hooray! This morning the sunlight is lighting up the topmost corner of the garden. Sadly we won't get much else but it is good to look out of the window and see blue skies. It is also streaming in through the kitchen window, yay, and highlighting the greasy mess by the hotplate where certain person (not the one who has been on a diet), has been doing lots of frying. Counter, tiles and saucepans have all been scrubbed clean now.
In the wet sunshine I spotted some new flowers. These pink lilies are in the grass bed that I renovated last spring.

Everything there had to be dug up and I have a feeling that these lilies lived in some buckets for a while before being replanted, hence the late flowering.

Just getting the place tidy before we're off on the long drive to Bristol where Peter will be having his eyes re-lasered. He has rather dry eyes which might have given inaccurate readings on the initial scans so he's decided to go for more surgery to make them extra sharp. With the company we've used for our eye surgery (we would recommend Ultralase to anyone in the UK who is thinking of laser eye surgery), you get free life time care so there is no worry about extra expense.
