Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Windy.

It's been cold today with strong north westerly winds but hardly a drop of rain.
I had to wrap up with even more layers (coat on top of bodywarmer over dressing gown) to sit outside with my morning cuppa listening to the roar of the waves and watching flocks of birds swirling above me. The little robin had to wait til later for his seeds as the wind would have blown them straight off the terrace.

All that is left of the snow is a light dusting on the mountain tops. Last night at Pilates there was much talk of the foolish car drivers slipping and sliding as they attempted to get up the steep hill behind us. One car ended up going through a garden wall so somebody (unofficially I think) closed the road.
We didn't do kettle bells last night after all as Rachel thought that might be a step too far for those of us who haven't done any classes for three weeks.

Today I carried on with spring new year cleaning of the kitchen. I got a couple of the base cupboards done and discovered 'spare' stuff that I might need one day. If I ever decide to cook elaborate meals (unlikely) I might need the expensive stainless steel set of saucepans I once treated myself to. They turned out to be too heavy for Pete's wrists so he bought some lighter saucepans for us to use instead.
The sun shone for most of the day which got me thinking about going for a walk. However by the time I had finished in the kitchen it was cloudy and quite cold. But I went out anyway and joined the few dog walkers marching along the beach. It was good to blow the cobwebs away.
