Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Wet.

A warm, grey, clammy day with the rain arriving just as Peter set off for an afternoon's rowing. Sunday is the day the orchids get watered and fed and they are thriving under this regime. My afternoon was spent looking through more properties on-line until I could look no more.
The heating is now running smoothly and we'll book a boiler service. I've also come up with an alternative solution to the problem of what to do with the cats when we go off visiting for a day or two - automatic cat feeders. The cats will have to be separated as otherwise Speedy will scoff Patch's food but it is doable.
We thought about going to the rugby club for tonight's firework display but even before the rain set in had decided not to go. We watched some fireworks from our bedroom last night and I saw more tonight. Unfortunately we are just at the wrong angle to see fireworks set off at the rugby club though there were some very loud bangs. Instead we had our usual Sunday evening watching Strictly. It's great being able to fast forward over the long pauses before each successful couple is announced.

Sounds like a good solutions for the cats while you're away.
