Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Merry Christmas.

I took the photo below at 4.30 and this is how it's been all day.
I've still got my cold and both arms were aching today, no doubt due to kettlebells so I have focussed on doing one small thing at a time.
As I suspected the hot glue gun was a much better method for sticking on the spider's inner tube legs. Having done that I loaded up the car ready for tomorrow with stuff for the dump as well as the shopping bags and my riding hat.
Next I walked down to the shop to buy milk so that I could make cheese sauce to go with my vegetables tonight. Cheese sauce with lots of mustard, which I've already made is just the thing for a cold.
Then it was time for our Welsh class. But there was an email from our tutor cancelling the class as she is unwell, I told you that there's a lot covid/ colds around. I felt bad for her but relieved that I didn't need try and focus for three hours.
Instead, after doing some piano practice (I'm trying so hard to fit that back into my routine) I wrote out most of my Christmas cards.  Of course I still need to write up the family news letter for those people I don't see regularly and there are a couple more cards to buy but it was good to get that job done. We've got a more exciting Christmas this year as Vytas and Sally are now coming to stay for Christmas itself. I will be doing plenty of planning and freezing of meals as well as the usual baking for gifts in the next few months.

Sunset last night. With the changing seasons we've now lost our view of the setting sun and I had to walk down to the cliff to take photos.
