Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Lists.

It's been back to wet and windy weather again today. In fact the wind was so strong that despite having a brick inside to weigh it down the big recycling box blew down the road after the recycling lorry had been.
My first job today was to get properly organised for Christmas. I've been getting worried that my assumption that I was 'on schedule' may have been optimistic since the so-called schedule was in my head. So this morning I sat down and wrote a series of lists - things that have to be done, things it would be nice to do, regular food shopping and Christmas food shopping. Having everything written down saves on the worrying and makes life easier. I nearly forgot to write the most important thing on the first list which was -make a list! I used to make lists all the time but most of the time now it's just the weekly timetable on the kitchen whiteboard and shopping lists.

I've already crossed some of the must do cleaning jobs off the list. The utility room which has been on my to-do list for a long time but kept reverting back to a dumping spot (by me) is almost fully sorted with only oiling the wooden worktop left to do. I also put up a small wooden key cupboard in there and hung up all the spare keys that I labelled the other day. The picture on the cupboard door is very faded so I'll look for a nice photo to print and put inside the glass to spruce it up.
I had meant to listen to a Welsh conversation which was part of our homework but they've upgraded the on-line resources and I can't find the conversation anywhere. I've got the script printed out so that will have to do instead.

When I went past the house the builders are demolishing yesterday everything was gone except for the back wall. I can't see from our terrace if they've taken down the back wall as well now or if it's being left to support the houses on either side.
