Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Our Guests Depart.

Warmer weather is supposed to be on its way. I can't gauge how warm it was today because it was mostly rather wet. As we move towards evening the sun has been appearing more often creating a dramatic colour contrast between the trees' lime green new leaves and the dark grey sky.
This morning saw the departure of our guests with wet suits being brought in to dry and a final sort out by Vytas of all the boxes of models he was taking home. (I'm not so sure Sally was thrilled with the idea.)
It's been wonderful being Mother Hen to a houseful of young people. I've enjoyed cooking and baking and vast amounts have been eaten by all. Lots of great conversation and it's surprising that despite the generational gap how many interests we shared. (Plus they were polite enough to let us old codgers ramble on at times.) Elita was brought up in Lithuania so there was a lot of cultural background in common too.

We're both feeling a bit tired having stayed up way past our usual bedtimes these last 3 nights. Friday night saw us all out in the garden observing the stars through Sally's telescope when we got to see Jupiter and its moons for the first time and on the other evenings we've just been chatting.
Oh well, back to work and normality tomorrow for both of us.
