From the photo below you might think that it has been a sunny day but that hole in the clouds lasted less than 15 minutes. For the rest of the time we've been under 'an extensive area of low cloud' that has given us a very cold and clammy day.
Fridays generally tend to wear my body out and for the moment the exercise regime from the physiotherapist is making the aches and pains worse (I think). But I shall persevere, in the same way that you wouldn't expect to suddenly get better after taking medication for a day or two I realise that I need to put in the work to stretch out those muscles and that eventually things should improve.
I have still done a few things around the house. In a rare moment of cooking enthusiasm I've made a vegetable curry. Peter will cook some chicken to add to his portion and we will have samosas and vegetable pakoras from the freezer. Last night's lamb pasties were so tasty we ended up having a whole one each.
Then I did some more cleaning in the bedroom wiping down the storage tubs that live under the bed and cleaning a few other things.
The coastguards having a training session on the beach. Below is the view we've had for most of the day. In the afternoon I saw a seal swimming very close to the rocks below the cliff. It dived down before I could take a photo and although I waited a long time with my camera poised I didn't see it reappear. A quick search tells me that they can stay underwater for 15 minutes and sometimes up to half an hour. It was too cold to stay outside for that long and who knows how far it could have swum in that time?
