Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Windy.

The day began wild, wet and windy. Not a day for going to the zoo or for hanging out washing. The sun graced us with an appearance right at the end of the afternoon.
The next job in the bedroom was to take down all the storage tubs from the cupboards above the wardrobes. These also needed a wipe over and at the same time I was able to check the contents. Hooray, I managed to fill a large bag with stuff for the charity shop. Being drawn to fabrics that are soft to the touch I would buy fluffy fleeces and pjs (dressing gowns too) to put away for the future when either fashions changed but my preferences didn't or if we moved somewhere with few clothing shops. Here in Aber there's just M&S and Matalan and a couple of small shops in the main shopping street or the supermarkets for clothes.  (There's a large Next but that's out of town and I haven't bothered.) Of course there are some sports and outdoor shops and riding clothes at Charlie's which also has a limited amount of other clothing. However the lack of choice doesn't bother me as my stash of clothing was bought with that in mind. But I was pleased that I was able to sort out some of my clothing for the charity shop.
The rest of my time was taken up with pinging sequins. I'm now waiting for the postman to bring me the bias binding though I've not much hope of finishing the first top in time for Thursday's class.

A hint of colour from the early crocuses.
Wow, sunshine.
