Bright and sunny again but the cold wind is still here too.
Peter went out rowing this morning but as it was his turn to be cox he made sure to wrap up well and had several layers on under his big yellow coat. Unlike rowing when you work up a sweat being the cox can be a very cold job. Later in the afternoon he and some of the others made repairs to the other boat so that they can take both boats out and have a bit of fun racing against each other.
We had our Welsh class as usual but there will only be three more classes before the end of this year's course. How time has flown.
While Peter was out boat mending I went up in the loft and brought down lots of bubble wrap for my scarecrow. Gandalf now has face, hair, hat (but no brim yet) and tummy. Not much left to do on him but the BinBagRog (Balrog) is still a bit of a vague idea consisting of bin bags and an old umbrella.
And as usual it was disco aerobics in the Hall. I was walking home with two friends along the cliff when Gill caught her foot in a dip and tumbled to the ground. At first she said she was just shook up and would be fine after a sit down on the low wall that is there but after a while the pain in her leg was so bad she was hardly able to stand. Del went and got her husband and car by which time it was obvious that they needed to take Gill to A&E. Such a shame for that to happen as although Gill is older than me she is sprightly and much fitter than I am. I do hope that it is nothing serious.
