Sunny.

More sun today which was nice. Even the towels dried out on the line.

 

While it's still dry and not too cold I thought I might as well get on with painting the side of the house. We saw many houses painted the same shade of pink on Crete but it doesn't work for me here away from the bright Cretan sun. 

I could almost get away with just one coat on this wall but I might as well do it properly so I will give it a second coat before moving on to the last section.

After painting I was going to strim the weeds in the lane behind the garden but when I plugged in the strimmer to check it was working ..... it wasn't. I did the usual things, jiggled the wires and changed the fuse but still nothing. As a last resort because it had a safety plug with the fuse accessed from the outside I cut the plug off and fitted a new one. But still nothing so my trusty strimmer will be heading to the dump on Friday. I don't think I've used it since we left Dingles and the guard over the wire had long gone so I can't complain.
