It looked as if we were going to have a gloomy and possibly wet day but then the day brightened up. However it has been very windy. This morning one of the pots of trailing geraniums was rolling around on the terrace with about half the stems broken off which was a shame. I've put them in water hoping that some of them will root.
I've been feeling a bit delicate today so have tried to take things easy.
I managed to complete the large shields and most of the smaller ones which are spread around the garage. I'm still working on making the two that will have the name of the club on look more 'Viking'.
In the afternoon I had a gentle walk down to the pharmacy and the shop. As soon as I turned the corner at the bottom of the cliff I was sheltered from the wind and it felt lovely and warm. However when I got home I was back in the wind again and had to wrap up before going to sit out in the garden.
The montbretia by the pond are beginning to flower and I really like the combination of the orange flowers with the tall ox-eye daisies and the smaller variety.

Terrific set of shields - they will def see off any undesirables. I was sorry to read about your husband's wallet and hope it is getting resolved ok.

There has been no activity on the missing cards and he has a new one now but is only going to take cash with him when he goes to the pub. He will have to keep checking to make sure that nobody tries to take loans or direct debits using his identity but everything else is sorted thank you.
That is such a relief for you both. I am pleased as it must have been so worrying.
