Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Bright and Breezy.

First thing this morning I wasn't too sure how the day would turn out as I watched the clouds rolling over the hills but in the end it turned out to be a bright and breezy day.
Arriving at the stables I found that yes I had Hazel again and there were only two of us in the lesson. Iola (the owner) taught us so it was quite an intensive lesson. It was hard work but I ended up with Hazel going really well with a good bend and working on the bit. I felt like I was doing proper dressage.

Afterwards I took yet more bags down to the dump and called in at the HAHAV warehouse (sells donated furniture etc to fund the end of life home support charity). I hadn't realised it was open on Friday mornings but will be dropping in regularly as it is like an Aladdin's cave. The prices were very good and many of the items had amusing descriptive notes on them. eg - one had 'A perfect workbench for the greenhouse.' and then a second note 'Okay, it's a baby changing table but you can use it for anything.'

I did my usual round of supermarkets and shops and somehow missed getting stuck in any of the traffic jams I came across. As I drove into Morrisons the cars were queuing up to leave the car park but they had all gone by the time I'd done my shopping when the main road was solid on the other side but clear on mine.
Once I'd unpacked the shopping, thrown my riding clothes in the washing machine and had a refreshing mug of tea I walked down to the surgery. They sent a text for me to have a blood test, don't know why just my yearly check I think, but I needed to change the date of the appointment. I could have phoned but I much prefer to sort things face to face rather than pressing different numbers for different services and then being put on hold while they look at their computer. The beach was absolutely packed and still is busy at 6.00.
I did some bathroom cleaning and floor washing when I got home before an early shower and yet more sitting out on the terrace.
