We woke this morning to a hazy and much cooler day. We had several hours of bright sun in the afternoon but later the bank of haze which had been lurking to the north returned and once again everything is grey.
I spent the afternoon painting the street wall. It was hard going as the wall is made of (painted) concrete blocks which had been made to resemble rough granite. The bumpy nature of the surface made it hard to get the paint into all the nooks and crannys.
I had a few conversations with neighbours as they went off for walks or down to the beach and again as they went past on their way home. Everyone said how nice the white wall and the porch looked.
Having worked for four hours without a break my joints seized up and I discovered an enormous blister on the top of my big toe. I decided I needed a reward for all my hard work and tottered down to the shop in search of ice-cream. But all they had were two makes of vanilla and two makes of strawberry neither of which appealed so I made do with a packet of shortbread biscuits instead.
Here are a few aerial photos (via FB) of Carnival Day that give a good view of the village with Snowdonia to the north and the bog behind. The village is basically one row of houses with a few more up at our end on the cliff. Plus of course several large holiday parks.

Those pics were so interesting. No wonder the beach is so popular with the way those rocks make lots of little inlets. I am interested in railways and noticed your station has lots of chimneys. I could almost see you having a coffee on your balcony !!
