The forecast was for a whole day of rain so it was a bonus that it stayed dry until 3.00. Since when the rain hasn't stopped.
I drove to the zoo and had a happy couple of hours of weeding. I also took along some blue grasses which I had grown from seed. Those went in three empty planters as I suspect they might be spreaders. (at home the parent plant is in a confined space and I'll probably plant the rest of the grasses in one of the raised beds in the back garden.)
Everywhere at the zoo was very wet as it is situated on what used to be the bog. I weeded some narrow borders near the entrance and then spent most of my time weeding and picking leaves off the gravel by the wolf-dogs. Everything I planted there is still quite small but it should start to come into its own next year.
When I got home I had a restful afternoon crocheting in front of the tv. I watched the new knitting show with Tom Daley. It's a bit twee but something to watch.
Listening to the rain pounding on my study roof I'll have to drive to the Hall for Pilates. It's kettlebells this week which I find quite hard going, and my dodgy shoulder is playing up too.
