Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Mostly Wet.

Apart from a brief early morning rainbow the sky has been grey and the day wet.
I was checking the rain map and wondering if I should go on the walk when the message came through that it was cancelled. It's lovely walking with a friendly group but several hours in the rain is not the most exciting prospect.

Instead I did a bit of tidying and some DIY. That was the final stage of making a holder for long boxes (cling film, tin foil etc.) to go inside one of the kitchen cupboard doors. I've been wanting something to go inside the door for a while but wasn't going to risk actually screwing anything into the door.
Then, when I was tidying the garage I came across some square plastic ducting that looked the right shape. Not wanting to rush into things as I usually do I cut a test piece and used the builders' adhesive to stick it onto a piece of wood. I found that if I left it for a day it stuck well so now the holder is stuck inside the door which is jammed shut with a couple of heavy objects. (Hence no photo yet.)
I spent the rest of the afternoon being a good student and worked on my Welsh homework as we are meeting our friends in Mach again tomorrow. Meanwhile outside the surfers were enjoying the decent waves because of course the rain doesn't matter to them.
