Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Morning Mizzle.

It's been noticeably warm today but also wet. Up until midday it was what in the West Country would be known as mizzle (fine and very light rain). After which it just got heavier and heavier.
Instead of posting grey pictures I'm cheering myself up with some sunny pictures from yesterday.
We went to Mach this morning to meet up with our friends in the library. I was hoping that the book I had reserved - The Island, would be in but they haven't been able to get it yet.
As well as going through last week's homework and looking at the exercises we think we'll be covering in this week's lesson Anne brought along a crossword puzzle for us to try. It was from a magazine for learners that she gets. It took the combined efforts of all four of us and the occasional peak at the answers (only Anne had the sheet with the answers and she is very conscientious) to complete the crossword. And we had to remember that the double letters; ff, ll, th, ch & ng went in one box not two.
We then finished by translating another chapter from the book we are reading. It was very sad as Mari told Huw she had met someone else on holiday and then poor Huw went home to find his dad whom he hadn't seen for 10 years waiting to talk to him. Some of these stories are so dramatic! But it's a fun way to learn more colloquial language.
Once back in rainy Borth Pete went for his usual Monday afternoon pool session in the pub while I did a bit of sewing and some crocheting.
