Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Busy.

The day began mild, grey and dry leading me to think that it would have been an excellent day to get on with the house painting. But come mid-day the rain arrived and all my painting would have been in vain. By sunset the rain had stopped and there were some moments of golden light before changing to a rosy pink world.
With three hours of class taking up most of the day I filled the rest of my time with smaller jobs. hoovering in the morning (one drawback to having a plain rug is that you can't just go over it with the dry mop/ swisher thing). And if I was going to do the rug I might as well do the bedroom too.
My other task was to have a cull of my wardrobe as I would be taking one of our wheeled carry on suitcases to the charity shop. (It's the two wheeled sort and as we found out when you're tired and in a crowd it's awkward compared to the four wheeled kind. As soon as Morrisons reduced their suitcases I bought a replacement.)
Considering that I stick to one outfit for each activity I have an awful lot of tops in particular. This stems back to when I was teaching and felt the need to wear different clothes each day. But the cull wasn't too successful as it mainly consisted of me trying on something and saying "I'm keeping that." and then wondering when I was actually going to wear it. I managed to find five items of clothing to pass on to the charity shop which is a start.

We were about half-way through our Zoom class when I noticed a large Openreach van pull up outside. They've been working around the village supposedly extending the fibre broadband which should make our internet faster. I kept a close eye on the workmen who got out some barriers and then stuck their heads down a manhole in the street. I warned out tutor that if Pete and I suddenly disappeared  from the class it would be down to technical difficulties with connection. Eventually off went the men and our connection stayed stable. When the weather is bad it often affects at least one person in the class including our tutor who lives in a small village in the hills.

After the class I had some ironing to do before getting ready for disco aerobics and blogging. Another busy day.

You DID have a busy day. Better that than being bored though! :). Beautiful sky.
