Sunny, dry and warm today, at least until the afternoon when the rain set in.
It was the perfect morning for drying washing on the line so I got all the cushion covers and the small throws washed. Straight after our Zoom class I thought that rain was imminent, went out and as I took the last item off the line the rain began. That was a lucky break.
In class now we are being encouraged to chat more (in Welsh of course) and as we have been learning together for the past three years I don't feel embarrassed to 'have a go' which I would be just talking to a Welsh speaker in the street.
It looks as if the rain is easing off now and hopefully I will can walk to the hall for disco aerobics instead of taking the car. I'm not wearing a sequinned top today but I have a new watch type wristband that flashes in time to the music.
An anecdote from Tuesday - Remember the crochet throw I made for Vytas and Sally the Christmas before last and how I ended up with a carrier bag full of small balls of wool after having to redo most of it? I gave those away away to someone in the village and at Pilates she showed me a photo on her phone of the throw she is making. She separated the wool into two colourways and then tied all the wool together before using it to weave 6" squares. The random colours actually made interesting patterns as she wove. Then she put the squares together like a patchwork. I had hoped somebody would be able to use all those oddments and she has done so very successfully.
This morning I spotted a flock of Manx Shearwaters circling around the reef. A cormorant was fishing close to the cliffs but every time I focussed the camera on it, it upended and disappeared underwater.
