Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Up, Up And Away.

Much brighter today still with a touch of frost in the morning.
Sitting outside this morning I watched a group of geese flying southwards. Not migrating but heading out from the wetlands around the Dyfi for a change of scene. Another, smaller group was bobbing about on the sea on the far side of the reef.
It was a perfect day to go to the zoo. Somehow five hours flew by as I sorted out the flowerbed by the wolf-dogs. As well as mending the fence and clearing out the weeds I dug up a patch of cyperus alternifolius that I had left to fill up a corner. It is time to replace it with some of the many knautia plants I have growing here.
That has been my day and very shortly I'll be off to Pilates and it's kettlebells tonight.
Vytas and Sally are currently on holiday in Egypt and this morning they went on a hot air balloon flight over Luxor .This is a short video that they posted. Don't you wish you were there too?

Whilst we were in Jordan, there were Swallows and Swifts overhead - making their way North towards us for the summer. Lifted my heart to see them again.
