Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Garden Colour.

Again it rained heavily in the night (I was awake a few times with some aches and pains,) but despite the possibility of thunderstorms it has stayed dry all day. No doubt if I had had hung the washing out on the line instead of in the utility room it would have rained straight away.
Today my knee has been fine but my back has felt quite delicate. Thank goodness for painkillers. I've still done my squats because the back should be in a neutral position with all the work being done by the glutes and leg muscles.
Since the new slabs are being laid on a layer of cement the 'circle' slabs also need to be raised up and moved over slightly. This morning I tied up the ground cover sedum (which had been trodden on) and protected the pennisetum before the builders work on that corner.
The last of the aquilegias have been cut back and I did a little snipping of the escallonia hedge. Running the electric trimmer along the hedge leaves the hedge neat but with too many bits of leaf on the shingle for me to pick up.

The garden is full of flowers at the moment and I'm loving the colour combinations.
I've also drawn a template for the coloured glass spirals for the porch windows and done some housework. I'm happy that I've managed to get some stuff done while still having a 'rest' day.
