This morning the south-easterly winds brought rain clouds and with a slight drop in temperature. There was a warning out for thunderstorms but so far it's just been heavy rain - all afternoon.
It stayed dry while I drank my tea outside but the first light showers forced me to retreat to the doorway to carry on contemplating the garden and the clouds.
With the rain putting an end to our plan for a walk at the osprey centre I hoped at least to get some work done in the back garden in-between showers. But apart from sowing some lettuce and radishes I wasn't able to get out to do more.
I don't why it is but when it's wet I find myself unable to motivate myself to do anything. That includes inside where of course it isn't actually raining. After marking on the position and colour of the glass blobs on the template for the green glass spiral I didn't feel like doing anything. Then I realised that I could possibly hoover the bedroom carpet, duh! so that is what I did.
I've also turned the paper template over (to get a mirror image) and begun arranging the blue glass blobs. I'll keep to the same shape but the arrangement of the colours will be different. It's still a work in progress.
It's disco aerobics tonight and I suspect that I'll be driving down to the hall unless the rain suddenly stops.

It must be so nice to sit on your balcony with a cuppa looking down over the lovely garden you've worked so hard on. The views over the sea are a wonderful back drop.
I am totally motivated by rain and get on well with jobs. I even enjoy gardening in light rain - strange but true!
