Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Where Has The World Gone?

Almost a complete white out this morning. Eventually the sea mist lifted enough to make out the houses on the beach but that was about it. Low cloud hung about for most of the day with just one break in the clouds when the temperature rocketed up.
I didn't rush breakfast but waited to see if it would actually rain before deciding what to do. With the rain holding off I drove down to the zoo at mid-day and had a happy four hours weeding the woodchip in the large play area. Everywhere the grass like the weeds in the woodchip, is growing like mad so I was happy when one of the other workers came along with a strimmer and cut some paths around the wildflower meadow. The battery only held up for so long but at least now you can see where the meadow is supposed to be. It was getting on so I rushed home without taking any photos at the zoo.
Once back home there was just time to give my back a rest before walking down to the hall for Pilates.
The buds on the real Rouge Cardinal are beginning to open to reveal giant red flowers while at the end of the garden the red of the Ville de Lyon echos the red of the acers.
Taken in the afternoon.
Yesterday evening the sun was shining like a spotlight through the clouds.
