Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Sunny.

It was another perfect drying day so I wandered around the house looking for things to wash. In the end I washed some curtains which are now hanging, crisp and fresh, back in a spare bedroom. And our bedroom is looking a little bare as the curtains from both windows are currently going around in the washing machine. That way I can hang them up first thing and get our bedding in to wash as well. It is so lovely to walk around the house and feel warm, even in the evenings.
We couldn't let such a day go to waste so we took ourselves off for a walk around Morte Point. The village itself was full of people but not so many were out on the headland.
We came across this installation with nothing else around to indicate why it was there. The Point is owned by the National Trust so maybe it is some sort of art project.
It was very windy on the north side so we waited until we turned the corner before stopping for coffee. There weren't any seals today which was a shame as the water was crystal clear and it would have been interesting to see them swimming underwater.
In the distance we could see lots of people at Woolacombe and Putsborough but there didn't look to be any surf.
The foxgloves were all out with this large stand of them clashing with the yellow of the gorse. At home they are nowhere near ready to flower.
At home I didn't do much except lie in the sun (trying to get the back of my legs to match the front) planning some maths to do this week. And of course we had another barbecue, burgers (not falling apart this time), salads and baked ordinary and sweet potatoes finished off on the barbecue.
