Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Overcast.

It's been overcast all day bringing the overall temperature down to a more bearable level. I drove into town today to do some shopping and to visit the bank. When I came out of Lidl's the sky, as far as the eye could see was filled with seagulls. Very reminiscent of 'The Birds'. Walking down the High Street it was pleasantly free of holiday crowds, they must have been down at the beaches.
We had hoped to be off in the camper tomorrow but not only has Peter twisted his elbow but Okehampton, the area we were going to, has a yellow weather warning for severe storms and possible flooding.
I'm off to choir soon. We might be a bit short of basses and tenors as the England football team are playing tonight.
The orchids in the sitting room window must be happy in that position as four of them are coming into flower again.
PS After a first goal 5 minutes into play England lost 2-1 to Croatia. Well at least we won some games.
