Windy.

Plenty of wind again today which blew away the clouds in the afternoon giving us some cheerful sun.

In the morning Peter and I went out for a bracing walk. Wrapped up well we revelled in the wind and pounding waves, too strong for even the bravest of surfers.

Yesterday's building team stayed until nearly 7.30 trying to get things done and I have to say it looks so much nicer now the corridor looks more like a home and  less like a building site. This morning the Boss builder and his mate came and built the raised beds in the back garden. They've been built on proper foundations and metal ties used to fix the blocks to the brick wall. Weather permitting they'll be back on Monday to finish off. There was one tree stump inside one of the beds which I've dealt with by drilling and then applying stump killer very carefully.

Next step will be to put up the trellis.

Having found the missing curtains this afternoon I hung them in our bedroom. An improvement on the random cream curtains I'd put up especially as they are a perfect colour match for the walls. While moving boxes and things to get to the second window I found that the nylon? underside of the large cat travel cage had some patches of mould on it. I took it outside and sprayed it with the W5 mould cleaner which I found very effective on the woodwork and gave it a good airing.

The afternoon was just too nice not to head out for another beach walk at low tide, this time on my own. A lone kite surfer was having a grand time whizzing along the waves.

After an explore of the rock pools I followed the line of the water's edge round to the first rock pile. There the sea foam had piled up and every now and again the wind sent large clumps of foam flying through the air.

On the landward side of the rocks I was amused to see the 'beach cat' ensconced in the rocks. A woman came past with her two Jack Russells and when I told her about the cat she moved on quickly before her dogs noticed. I expect like many small terriers they were cat chasers.

Much excitement now that Wales has come out of extreme lockdown. However there is an outcry over the fact that while the supermarkets will be allowed to open up all the closed off aisles all the local shops selling the same goods have to wait until the 12th of April to open. It is understandable that they want to keep the number of shoppers in the streets to a minimum but very hard on the local businesses. Also sad is the fact that while people in care homes can now have one nominated visitor this won't be happening in our county until 13th of April. We're looking forward to be able to drive out for local walks which had been allowed in England but not Wales.
