Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Storm Erik.

After a wonderful sleep I woke to rain. Storm Erik made itself felt later in the day with heavy rain and strong winds. Sadly 2 people's deaths were caused by trees blowing down, one in Devon where a tree fell on a car. The storm has strengthened over the evening, hopefully it will have passed by the morning.
Off we went to collect the camper and take it up to the farm. The top could do with a clean as it's a bit green but the camper is now safe in a dry barn. The garage replaced one of the gears which involved dismantling the whole gear box which they assure us is all in good condition.
We called in at Lidl's on the way back so there's no need to go shopping for a few days.
Even with the rain it felt good to be out in the country once more.
Back home it was time to begin online house hunting. It was cheering to already find 4 houses which look promising. This was in just one section of the Welsh coast near Aberystwyth. Will need to do more investigations but it might not be long before we go and look at some houses.
