Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Sunny.

At last, a wallflower bloom that isn't yellow. It's been a sunny and very windy day. I began my day with yet another trip to the dentist. As I'm not going ahead with the dental implant I thought I should get my denture adjusted so that my teeth don't ache after wearing it. It all seemed a bit hit and miss depending on how the denture went in. Today I turned up with a little drawing of my teeth with arrows and notes showing where I felt the teeth being pushed. The dentist spent quite a bit of time getting me to bite down on the 'marking' paper and eventually she took a little off one side of the denture and it's now a lot more comfortable.
After a pain-free dentist trip (and there was no charge) I did some shopping at Lidl's and Tesco's. I bought myself another racer back top for exercising which had been double reduced. It's black and quite sheer but it came with a colourful crop-top to wear underneath. As usual I went for several sizes bigger so that I can alter it to fit while being more flowy. The vest is easy to do but I'll have to do quite a bit to the crop-top.
Then home for an afternoon of practising the songs we will be singing at the concert on Friday. This evening at choir we ran through all 19 songs and we did surprisingly well. Every now and again one of my ears would go wrong and my voice would start echoing through my head, very annoying. I expect it's all linked to my sinus problems. I was looking forward to seeing the ENT specialist at the hospital at the end of this month but that's been cancelled and I'll just have to wait for another appointment. Ear troubles aside it is just such a great feeling to be singing with 60 other people all more or less in harmony. There are usually about 15 altos but at one point tonight where the altos split to sing two different parts it turned out that there were only three of us singing the lower part. Some of the 'highers' have moved across to the 'lowers' to make it more even for the concert.

Such a pretty flower.
Good luck with concert. I would love to be there to listen to it.
