Welcome to family, friends and visitors. Here you will find interesting (hopefully) pictures of my part of the world, news of our household and probably, long ramblings about anything that catches my interest.

Sunny.

This was our view at 8.00 this morning. Blue skies for us and a cold sea mist over the river and sea beyond. It wasn't long before the mist burnt off and the rest of the day has been glorious. It is now 6.30 and the sea mist has returned. !5 minutes ago it was much as the above photo but now it has rolled right in to our estate.
The blossom on the apple tree in  the end garden looked pretty against the blue sky.
Our 'outdoor' builder came early and put in the first step as well as finishing off a couple of other bits. He is going to replace that vertical bit of board which is noticeably shorter than the others (not his handiwork).  Our 'indoor' builder was supposed to come this afternoon but didn't turn up which is unlike him. He had to go back to the hospital this morning and I'm guessing that they managed to persuade him to stay this time.
It was a good day for mowing. As usual I did the main grass as well and then went over the edges of our lawn and  took out any weeds.
After that I had to take advantage of the lovely weather and put the sun loungers out on the top deck. There was enough of a breeze to keep things comfortable and eventually I was joined by Peter. He bought himself a barbecue, what a surprise. It's a gas one with lava rock but he'll have wait until the decking wood is all sorted before he can put it together and start barbecuing.

Nice that you got to sit out and read on a nice sunny day.
I'm sure you will have lots of wonderful BBQ's out on the deck. : )
